Is Connectivity Link only an AI gateway?
No. It also provides API management, multicloud and multicluster connectivity, DNS, and global load balancing.
Does it require OpenShift?
The 1.3 documentation defines supported OpenShift Container Platform and Service Mesh combinations.
Can it enforce model token limits?
Yes. TokenRateLimitPolicy reads OpenAI-style total token use and applies identity-based limits over configured windows.
Is the MCP gateway ready for production?
No. Red Hat labels the 1.3 MCP gateway Technology Preview and does not recommend production use.
What evidence does it expose?
Red Hat documents Prometheus metrics, OpenTelemetry traces, Envoy access logs, alerts, and Grafana dashboards.
