About this template

Benefits work runs on deadlines that do not move and caseloads that do not shrink. An assistant that drafts eligibility notes is taking part in a decision about rent, food and medical care. The agency stays answerable for that decision, so the drafting path needs controls that a supervisor can point to.

One of the two redaction patterns was written for this work. It masks a name that follows a benefits recipient label, which is how such names appear in a pasted note. The other pattern masks a case, docket or matter number.

A caseworker carries a caseload, and an assistant that drafts a denial letter is drafting a decision that a family will live with. Bias monitoring therefore runs on returned text, using the built-in signal at its shipped setting. Treat that as a warning light rather than a fairness assessment.

Text that comes back must reach a combined 0.86, with relevance at 0.78 and accuracy at 0.80. Anything under 120 characters or a single sentence fails. Grounding measurement compares a stated program rule against the context you supplied, and it flags a weak match without blocking.

Redacted history capture holds each exchange and the refused attempts too. Eligibility determinations, notice periods, appeal rights and public record duties are outside the gateway entirely. Nothing here decides a claim. The review step is an empty block, so supervisor approval remains a manual step until you configure it.
