About this template

A newsroom cannot delegate a published claim. The value of a starter here is narrow and real. It keeps confidential material out of a prompt, and it makes the weakness of an unsourced answer visible before an editor commits to it.

Read the redaction scope carefully. The shipped patterns match contract, agreement and statement of work reference numbers. A source name, a phone number and a meeting location are not matched. Source protection therefore remains a newsroom practice rather than a gateway feature.

Blocked phrases stop a request that carries unreleased script, rights agreement or private key. Injection screening runs before them, so an instruction buried in a pasted document cannot disable the block.

Citation checking extracts references and measures grounding against the material you supply. It flags a weak result and returns the text, because the default action allows the response. That is correct for a draft and wrong for a publish button. Output scoring is the harder gate, refusing anything under a combined 0.80 or under 120 characters.

The keyword screen runs on a built-in list and matches terms rather than judgment. The review step is unconfigured, so no piece is held for an editor by the gateway itself. Verification, corrections and standards enforcement remain the work of the desk.

Adapt the template in three steps

1

Review the scope

Confirm that the regions, source references, control areas and deployment options fit your use case.

2

Adapt the configuration

Open the template in the Verdictan console. Set its policies, thresholds, routing and review requirements for your environment.

3

Test before deployment

Test each policy outcome. Confirm that allowed, redacted, blocked and reviewed requests behave as expected.
